12 Facts About Me

1. I advertise that I'm a grandma but I still have a 16 year old and a 20 year old at home. So I'm still doing the mom thing.

2. I'm married to the love of my life.

3. I let my cat sleep in a bassinet and I really, really want a pet stroller for him. He is, after all, my baby. See...he's a people.

4. I prefer watching movies that are aimed at preteens. They aren't filled with filth and are funny and cute.

5. I do not watch (never, ever, ever) horror movies nor do I allow my children or anyone in my house to watch them. I call them "devil movies" and don't think God wants them in my life.

6. I admit that I'm a hypocrite. See number 5 above. I cuss and am quick to anger. Believing in Jesus Christ doesn't make me perfect.

7. I wear a long grey sweater almost everyday. I'm cold.

8. I'm trying to give up soda but I'm not very successful.

9. I don't think that time heals all wounds.

10. It is harder for me to forgive myself than to forgive others. And I don't understand why others are so forgiving of me.

11. I loathe inefficiency. Loathe, loathe, loathe. Writing that word three times was inefficient.

12. I do not know how to use my washing machine. So is it really mine?

Bethany's Questions

1. What is your favorite thing to make for dinner in a pinch?

I love to cook in the crock pot in a pinch. When I'm in a real hurry, I take a whole chicken, stuff it with onions (I always keep at least one chopped in the fridge), appple, and a little butter and cook on low for 6-8 hours. If I'm really, really in a pinch and forget to throw something in the crockpot in the morning -- I guess you're on your own (easy to do with teenagers!).

2. If you could have any job, what would it be and why?

I love the job I have now. After working 10+ years in a job that made me miserable just for the money, I walked away. Now I'm happier despite a small drop in income.

3. What was your biggest epic fail moment of 2011?

Hmmmm....an "epic" fail? The only failures are the one's you don't learn from. I don't know that I have an answer beyond that.

4. If you had $500 of free money to spend on anything, what would you buy?

I'd buy a Coach purse and then use it in a giveaway on the blog. Yes, baby, I'm obsessed.

5. What is your favorite new home find? (kitchen gadget, home decor item, vintage find, etc)

I really, really do love my monogram B from Cherry Walls.

6. In photos- black and white or color?

Depends on how my complexion looks when the pic was taken.

7. What is your favorite vacation spot?

Any cruise ship will do.

8. What was the best day of your life?

I know I should say the day my kids were born but I was kind of focused on the pain. The best day of my life was the day I saw Jason at work. It is the clearest most vivid memory of the love of my life. I knew I wanted to be with him forever the day he walked by my desk.

9. If you could have any super power what would it be?

A super power? You mean being a mom, a grandma, a full time employee, a semi-full time blogger, a wife, a friend, a sister, a daughter, a confidant isn't a super power?

10. Name the one room/space in your house you're dying to redecorate.

My kitchen.

11. Early to bed or early to rise?

Early to rise!!!!!

12. What is your biggest fear?

Suffocating. And no, I don't know why.
